On Thursday, December 16th, Attorney General Jon Bruning visited the Freeman FFA Chapter to discuss leadership in an ever-changing world. Twenty-five FFA members attended the meeting over the high school lunch period.
Mr. Bruning discussed integrity, making the right decisions, and being true to yourself as a leader. He told numerous stories of difficult situations he was in and how he went about making ethical decisions. Mr. Bruning also talked about the political world and how people should not make decisions that are political decisions, but rather decisions that are true to the beliefs of that person.
“Mr. Bruning told the students the way it is in the world of politics,” said Mr. Jensen. “By making a difficult decision, you may not be popular, but may be respected. I think it was important for students to realize that popularity does not always equal respect. Mr. Bruning did a good job of bringing out a different aspect of leadership to the students.”
