National FFA Week was celebrated this year from February 21st through 25th. The Freeman FFA Chapter has planned a host of events for a wide variety of people.
On Monday, February 21st, the elementary grades participated in a drawing contest, where each student drew what agriculture meant to them. Also, on Monday, all FFA members who have bought a chapter T-shirt wore their shirt to show pride in the local FFA chapter. FFA members also stopped over in the ag shop around suppertime and grilled their own supper, while chips and beans were provided.
On Wednesday, all junior high and high school students took an ag facts test created by Mr. Jensen.
On Thursday, it is everyone's favorite...Farm Vehicle Day. Five students drove tractors, two drove 4-wheelers, and one even drove a lawn mower.
On Friday, there is a dress-up day that everyone can participate in...Ag Careers Day. Whether a welder, coffee bean farmer, or gardener, there were lots of different careers represented.
