The 7th grade ag students learned about barn owls this week, including their habitat, diet, and feeding habits. In this information, they also learned about the way a barn owl digests its food.
On Wednesday, the students had the opportunity to dissect an owl pellet and learn what their barn owl digested the day before. Several skulls and skeletons of moles, voles, birds, and other rodents were found.

Some 7th graders were so excited about their experience that they brought home the bones and wanted to know how they could get owl pellets of their own.
