On Monday, May 9th, the Freeman FFA Chapter held its annual petting zoo outside of the ag shop. The FFA members brought several different types of animals for the elementary students to see. Included in the petting zoo this year were 2 geese, 2 horses, 2 donkeys, 2 ducks, 2 chickens, 2 beef cattle, 3 dogs, and a cat and several kittens.
Almost all elementary classes took time out of their busy schedule to see the animals and enjoy in the fun of the afternoon. "This is a fun event, in which FFA members get to bring agriculture to young kids."
