Hottovy, Milke Accepted into National FFA Band / Chorus

by Tony Jensen

August 18, 2005

Melissa Hottovy, daughter of Tom and Susan Hottovy, has been accepted to play in the the National FFA Band at the National FFA Convention in late October. Megan Milke, daughter of Pat and Michelle Milke, was accepted into the National FFA Choir, which will also play at National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. Jerod Nieveen, percussion, and Brittany Oltman, choir, also applied and were selected as alternates for their respective positions.

To apply, these individuals performed for an audition tape, completed an application, and received a recommendation from their local music instructor.

"To have two individuals accepted in the band and choir and two more as alternates is a big honor considering there are more than 450,000 FFA members nationwide," said Mr. Jensen. "These members should be proud of their accomplishment and be excited to represent Freeman FFA."
