Freeman Welcomes Four New Staff Members

Freeman Public Schools is pleased to welcome four new staff members for the 2005-2006 school year.

Aimee Parde's assignments include teaching 6th grade part-time and teaching Special Education part-time.  In addition, Aimee will sponsor the spirit club.  Aimee comes to Freeman after teaching in the Nemaha Valley school district.

Lia Bixler will be teaching 7th, 8th, and 9th grade science classes as well as a junior high study skills class.  Lia has had previous experiences in the classroom and also doing science research at the university/college level.

Travis Andreasen's teaching assignments will be with the upper level science classes.  He is also an assistant football coach.  Travis is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan and recently earned his teaching endorsement from Doane College.  He student taught last year in the Norris school district.

Sharon Mills steps in to assume the 5th-12th instrumental and 7th-12th vocal music position.  Sharon has built successful programs at a number of schools throughout Nebraska.  She hopes to be able to also begin a jazz ensemble and/or a show choir in the near future.
