Ag Classes Get Visits from Guest Speakers

The Freeman ag education classes have recently had two guest speakers visit their classes.
Kristina Jensen from the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum discussed horticulture careers with the Intro to Ag and Horticulture classes at the school on Wednesday, November 22nd. She also discussed her job, the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, and what her recommendations are to high school students hoping to study horticulture.
Amber Wilson, from SES Incorporated, which is currently contracted through the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, visited the Animal Science classroom on Wednesday, November 29th. She discussed biosecurity in the livestock industry, the protocol if a livestock disease was discovered, and what is currently being done in Nebraska to prepare for livestock diseases.
