Freeman FFA Competes at District LSE's
Two Alternates for State Convention, Several Blue Ribbons

On January 17th, Freeman FFA members traveled to Southeast Community College-Beatrice to compete at the district Leadership Skills Events.
Kristen Andersen received a blue ribbon and is an alternate to State FFA Convention in Creed Speaking. The Sr. Parli Pro team of Josh Rapp, Blake Ebbers, Jaycie Vanderbeek, Stacie Goracke, Kristin Kroese, and Melissa Hottovy also received a blue ribbon, which also puts them as an alternate to state. Other outstanding competitors for the chapter at the district event were: the Jr. Parli Pro team of Kyle Schlake, Natalie Lenners, Nate Milke, Amanda Wusk, Kristen Andersen, Eric Rapp, and Anna Jurgesn, receiving a blue ribbon; Kyle Schlake earning a blue ribbon in Jr. Public Speaking; Matt and Jerod Nieveen receiving blue ribbons in Natural Resources speaking; Stacie Goracke earning a blue ribbon in Job Interview; Max Weber earning a red ribbon in Extemporaneous Speaking.
There were also 11 junior high FFA members who competed in the FFA quiz bowl. Those individuals are Chandler Brandert, Steph Johnson, Abbey Klein, Andy Buhr, Allison Evers, Mitch Hesseltine, Savannah Banks, Jenna Vanderbeek, Kyle Schoen, Mallory Dorn, and Katherine Weber.
