Several members of the Freeman football team traveled to Lincoln on the morning of Saturday, June 2nd to participate in 7-on-7 games. The games were held on Lincoln High School's field and used a modified scoring format.
The team started out the competition with a win over McCool Junction, 18-16. Then, the Falcons followed up with wins over Parkview Christian's "A" team and "B" team.
"It was great for us to work on the fundamentals of passing offense and defense," said Coach Troxel. "Anytime you get to work on fundamentals, timing, and schemes from the playbook during the summer, it is a good experience for your team to develop."
Other activities for the Falcon football team this summer include the Norris team camp, which is being conducted by the University of Nebraska-Omaha football staff on June 14th and 15th, summer weights, and their Freeman football camp in late July.
