TEACHER IN-SERVICE HELD
State Writing Test and Classroom Medical Bags
Teachers at Freeman Public School participated in another monthly in-service on Wednesday, February 27. The short in-service session involved reading and scoring the Nebraska State Writing Test. Staff members where put into groups and were assigned a particular grade to score. Teachers were not allowed to score their own students’ writing tests. Writing tests for those students in the fourth, eighth, and eleventh grades were sent to the Nebraska Department of Education, to be scored at a later date.
Each teacher, K-12, was presented with a basic medical kit to be kept in each classroom for emergencies. The bags and first-aid equipment was provided to the school by the Adams Rescue Squad. The kits are to be located in each teachers’ classroom where they can be accessed quickly and easily by the teacher, para-educator, or a substitute. The staff at Freeman Public School would like to thank the rescue squad for these materials.
