Freeman Public Schools To Perform "The Little Mermaid"
Missoula Theatre Tour Presenting Musical Adaptation

Join the mermaids, merboy, a royal family, and a host of other sea critters in an underwater world musical this Friday and Saturday when Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of The Little Mermaid under the direction of Missoula Children’s Theatre Tour Actor/Director Alexis Jacobson and Sarah Schanzenbach.
The local cast features Jessica Larkins as The Little Mermaid, Celia. Also featured are her three sisters, Delia, Amelia and Ophelia who will be played by Abbey Klein, Brooke Mason, and Shannon Koenig. Gil, the Merboy next door will be played by Gerrit VanEngen. The Royal family includes Andy Buhr as the Prince, Jeffrey Wallman as the King and Lindsay Hottovy as the Queen. The snoopy Seasiders will be played by, Katlyn Beu, Katelyn Bohlmeyer, Ainsley Hostetler, Chelsea Jurgens, Gerald Kenkel, Emily Klein, Katie Meyer, Nichelle Meyer, Hannah Neil, Kyle Otto, Angela Schellpeper, Meghan Schellpeper, Hannah Schoen, and Miranda Zeman. To complete the ensemble Taylor Buhr, Jacob Jurgens, Emily Lenners, Riley Page, Jacobson Podtburg, and Chelsea Rapp will appear as the poetic Town Criers; the dynamic Scouts include Scott Adams, Madison Boddy, Halley Dorn, CJ Helmink, Carley Remmers, Kendell Renken, Alex Richardson, Claire Richardson, Mackenzie Ruskamp, Celia Timms, and Katie Veskrna; and the galloping Seahorses will be played by Montana Bender, Hailey Bixler, Rachel Buehler, Brylie Hartwig, Kayla Haynes, Tessa Hestermann, Kaitlyn Hostetler, Landon Husband, Cody Larkins, Ashley Oltman, Kaitlyn Otto, Eli Pelc, Nolan Robinson, Brock Robinson, Stephanie Rosales, and Mary Zeman. Mrs. Merman/Mr. Merman and Starfish will be played by MCT Tour Actor/Director Alexis Jacobson. Allison Evers, Jackson Evers, Marissa Haynes, and Matt Ideus will serve as Assistant Directors throughout the week helping MCT Tour Director Sarah Schanzenbach with the many details for the production.
The Little Mermaid will be presented at 7:00 p.m. at the Freeman Public School gymnasium on April 18th and 19th. Tickets are Adults $5, Senior Citizens $4, K-12 students $3, Preschool & younger Free and are available at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on both nights. No reserved or early seating available.
Also, please join the Freeman Playground Committee in the Freeman High School commons by enjoying a Pork BBQ dinner before the Saturday performance. They will be serving from 5:00 to 6:30. Adults are $5 and children 12 & under $4, and extra sandwiches are $1. The meal includes a sandwich, baked beans, chips, desert and drink. All proceeds go to helping build our elementary playground. You will be able to buy advance tickets for the performance when you purchase a dinner, but seating will not be available for the play until 6:30.
