ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK 

 

Wednesday:  7:00 p.m. Baccalaureate at Adams American Lutheran Church

 

Thursday:  Seniors Last Day

10:30 a.m. District Track at Tecumseh

Field Events at 9:30, Running Events at Noon

Bus leaves at 8:00 a.m.  Returns around 7:30 p.m.  Driver:  W. VanEngen

 

Friday:  10:00 a.m.  Senior Graduation Rehearsal

Deadline for Media Center Book Turn-In

3:30 p.m. Football Meeting

 

Saturday:  3:30 p.m.  Pre-Graduation Band Concert

4:00 p.m.  Graduation

 

Seniors - Please remember to save anything off the file server that you would like to keep as all of your files will be deleted.  Also, please save anything you would like to keep from your gaggle accounts because those will be disabled soon.

 

The 7-11 Band Members will be conducting a joint rehearsal on Friday, May 9 in the new gym.  The band may set up and practice on the south end like last year and be located towards the west, as all seniors will be entering from the SE doors.

 

Students & Staff - All library books are due on Friday, May 9th

 

Football Meeting - There will be a 30-minute meeting after school at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9 for any football players in grades 8-11 that plan on going out for next season.

 

Senior Video & Activity Video – If you would like to purchase a copy of the senior video or the activities video, there is a sign-up sheet in Miss Zwygart’s room.  The cost is $5.00 per DVD.  Sign-up deadline is Friday, May 9th.

 

Students Grades 3-7 – The deadline to register for the summer volleyball clinic as mentioned in the May newsletter has been extended until Monday, May 19th. High school camp payments are due Friday, May 9th.

 

Students & Parents - If you would like to take a baby chick raised by the Ag Research class to your home, they will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Sign-up starts immediately, but the chicks will not be allowed to leave the Ag room until Friday, May 9Students - Mr. Jensen must receive a written note or e-mail to him from a parent, granting permission to take a baby chick home.  See Mr. Jensen to sign up and ask questions.

 

The Nemaha Valley 4-H club will be meeting Monday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m.  We will be discussing the fate of the livestock show this summer, so fill out your form and come for the discussion!

 

Secondary Students - If there are any junior high or high school students wanting to volunteer as BINGO helpers this summer at Gold Crest, you may pick up a form in the high school office.  Please return these to Mrs. Yates by Wednesday, May 13.

 

National FFA Band and Chorus Applications - Application & Audition Tape Due to Mr. Jensen by Tuesday, May 20th - See Mrs. Mills for the audition and if you have any problems on the application, please let Mr. Jensen know ASAP.

 

FFA Petting ZooTuesday, May 20th (Last Day of School) - You can sign up you and your animal outside of Mr. Jensen's hallway.  ONLY 2 of each species are permitted (2 dogs, 2 cats, etc.).

StaffSpecifically Coaches and Sponsors – Now is the time to collect on all owed student fees.  Check your desk drawers and files for payments that have already been made. Please turn in payments (checks) as soon as possible so they can be ran through the bank several days before school is dismissed.

 

Staff – The high school track team will be competing at Districts on Thursday, May 8. Bailey Buhr, Ryan Busboom, Evan Buss, Jon Gronewold, Jasmine Hagemeier, Sara Marker, Amber Mason, Megan Milke, Jerod Nieveen, Matt Nieveen, Cody O’Grady, Marissa Page, Jordan Pella, Eric Rapp, Kyle Schlake, Katie Schoen, Phillip Schoen, Dylan Schoneweis, Jenna Vanderbeek, Dillon Wallman, Kevin Weyers, and Denae Wolken will attend if all are eligible.
