Information Databases
Here are the databases that Freeman Public Schools subscribes too. Use them to find information quickly and easily!! See Mrs. Sugden for passwords or pick up one of the “pink sheets” on the circulation desk that has them on it too. Remember they can be accessed from home with those passwords.
H.W. Wilson Omni File is thousands of full text journals and periodicals (magazines).
H.W. Wilson Magazines Plus is a database of biographies on people. It allows you to search 140,000+ biographies plus 32,000+ photographs.
This is your own mini libray. It will search books, magazines, newspapers, television and radio broadcasts, and pictures.
We subscribe to two different databases through SIRS.
Researcher-This is a general reference database with thousands of full text articles exploring social, economic, health, business, scientific, historic, and global issues.
Discoverer-Designed for grades 1-9, but 10-12 may use also, contains full- text articles and graphics from more than 1,400 sources and 3 reading levels. Subjects that are included: animals, arts, countries, cultures, drugs and alcohol, environment, health and human body, history and government, notable people, personal growth, science, social issues, sports, and technology.
