Jordan Pella senior and co-captain of the Freeman football team has been selected to play in the 33rd Nebraska 8-man All-Star game.
The game will be played at Hastings College on June 19th, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Pella will report to camp on June 13 and practice for a week before the game. Coaches for the east team are Head coach Jim Clarkson of Clarkson, Assistants: Chris Ardissono of Bruning-Davenport, Russ Schumacher of Lindsay HF, and Wes Pokorny of Clarkson.
Pella was one of 48 football players selected out of 154 entries.
During his senior season, Pella played fullback/tailback and linebacker. He gained 1183 yards on 194 carries, averaging 6.1 yards per carry. He also caught 11 passes for 108 yards. He scored 25 touchdowns during the season. On the defensive side of the ball, Pella recorded 111 tackles along with one sack and three interceptions.
