Freeman places 3rd

The Freeman Speech Team competed in the twelve-team conference meet on Wednesday, February 24 at Pawnee City. Nine events broke finals in this highly competitive conference tournament and earned third place. Alex Richardson is the conference Entertainment champion. Natalie Lenners and Amanda Wusk placed second in Duet Acting. Shelby Koenig took third in Extemporaneous. Placing fourth were Abbey Klein in Humorous Prose and Shelby Koenig in Persuasive. Earning fifth was the OID with Evan Buss, Amanda Wusk, Natalie Lenners, and Anna Jurgens along with Kristen Andersen in Persuasive and Anna Jurgens in Humorous Prose. Ashley Yates placed sixth in Entertainment. Each team member really stepped up and made improvements in performances. Pioneer Conference often has many speechers who place at the State level. Placing first was Brownell Talbot, second was NC Lourdes, fourth was Johnson-Brock, fifth was HTRS, and sixth was FC Sacred Heart.
