Freeman Elementary Spring Concert

The Freeman Elementary Concert was held Tuesday night, May 5th.  Each grade level performed 2 songs.  Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades used boomwhackers with their songs.  Boomwhackers are tuned plastic tubes, pitched according to their length.  The boomwhackers are an excellent way to work on beat and rhythm.

The Fourth Graders have been working all semester on playing recorders.  They showcased their learning by playing two recorder numbers.  An added bonus was the Fourth Grade playing recorders while the Third Grade did their dance.  The Fifth and Sixth Grade worked on some part singing with their special numbers.  Also performing were the Fifth and the Sixth Grade Bands.  The band students enjoyed combining to perform a special band number.

The large crowd of parents and grandparents was appreciated!
