Freeman Elementary Spring Concert

The Freeman Elementary Concert was held on Tuesday night, May 5th.  Each grade level performed 2 songs.  Kindergarten, First, and Second Graders used boomwhackers with their songs.  Boomwhackers are tuned plastic tubes, pitched according to their length.  The boomwhackers are an excellent way to work on beat and rhythm.

The Fourth Graders have been working all semester on playing recorders.  They showcased their learning by playing two recorder numbers.  An added bonus was the Fourth Grade playing recorders while the Third Grade did their dance.  The Fifth and Sixth Grade classes worked on some part singing for their special numbers.  Also performing were the Fifth Grade and Sixth Grade Bands.  The students enjoyed combining the bands for their final piece.

The large crowd of parents and grandparents in attendance at the concert was appreciated!
