First Grade Poems

It’s hard to believe that 2016 is here.  Mrs. Riha’s First Grade Class took some time to look ahead to the future.  We brainstormed and discussed different things students would like to do throughout the year.  After our discussion, each first grader wrote a fill-in-the-blank poem:  “A Whole New Year”.  Here are some of the First Grade poems.

A whole new year is beginning.

I hope to get a new kitty and  get a new puppy and play.

This year I hope to go to Great Wolf Lodge on the day of my birthday.

This year, if I can get to go boating with Kameron then I will be really glad.

This year will be the best year that I have ever had.

Happy New Year!
