The two First Grade classes from Freeman Public School visited Korner Pumpkin Patch on Friday Oct. 7th in the afternoon.  Joni Schwab discussed with the first graders the stages a pumpkin grows. She also showed the first graders the inside of the pumpkin and read stories to the students about pumpkins and pumpkin seeds.   The first graders learned the smaller the pumpkin the more seeds there will be.  The First Graders were then able to look around at all the different kinds of pumpkins on the farm.  We had a scavenger hunt and played a penny toss game with pumpkins.  To end the visit, First Graders tried pumpkin cookies, pumpkin ice cream and received a treat bag with a little pumpkin to take home. We had a great time!!!  First Grade teachers are Mrs. Laura Ideus and Mrs. Lisa Riha.
