On April 27th, the Freeman 5th graders had the opportunity to be part of an awesome learning experience at Camp Jefferson near Fairbury, NE. This field trip was provided to the kids by our local extension agencies and it focused on learning about the outdoors and the environment around us. The field trip was set up into stations and we rotated through them every 30 minutes. Our class found out more about insects and pests, rivers, soil erosion, tree planting and landscapes of Nebraska. We would like to thank our bus driver, Michelle Donovan for taking us. Also, thanks to Ms. Laurie Dorn for going along to help supervise.  The Freeman kids had a very enjoyable day filled with laughter and learning. In conclusion, I would like to thank the 5th and 6th grade parents for all their support during this school year. It has been a pleasure to teach your children and I hope you all have a wonderful summer vacation!!
