Freeman Fights Back to Beat the Pawnee City Indians

Another win in the books!
The Freeman Lady Falcons fought back from being down several times throughout the match against the Pawnee City Indians to win 25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 16-25, 16-14.
The Falcons came out strong by dominating the net and serving tough. Freshman Carley Remmers served 3 service aces halfway through the set to spark the Falcons to win the first set. An evenly spread offense also played a part in the Falcons win with 4 kills from Junior Morgan Lenners, and 2 kills each from Senior Savannah Banks, Junior Kylie Trobee, and Carley Remmers.
The second set was a back and forth match between the squads with the Lady Indians prevailing in the end. Carley Remmers led the attack with 4 kills and Kylie Trobee served 3 service aces but the set ended with a service error to prevent the Lady Falcons from taking the 2nd set.
In the third set, the Lady Falcons found themselves down by 6 points early in the match. The Falcons fought back to win the set and were led by Morgan Lenners and Carley Remmers with 4 kills each. Solid serve receive and tough serving by the Lady Falcons propelled Freeman to fight to win the 3rd set 26-24.
Where tough serving and solid serve receive helped the Falcons in the 3rd set, they struggled with both in the 4th set. Junior Kylie Trobee stepped up to lead the Falcons with 4 kills.
In what seems to be the Falcon fashion, Freeman found themselves down 9-13 in the 5th and final set of the match but found a way to win. Savannah Banks with 3 kills and Kylie Trobee and Carley Remmers with 2 kills each along with 3 service aces sparked the Falcons to a victory for the set and match.
Offensively, Freeman serving was led by Kylie Trobee with 30 service points, Amanda Andrews with 17, Morgan Lenners and Carley Remmers with 13, and Nichelle Meyer with 12. Kylie Trobee served lights out with 7 aces while Carley Remmers had 4. Carley Remmers led the attack with 14 kills, Kylie Trobee with 12, Morgan Lenners with 10, and Savannah Banks with 9. Senior Amanda Andrews took control of the offense with 39 set assists.
Defensively, Savannah Banks had 3 ace blocks. Carley Remmers led the digging wtih 21 digs, Kylie Trobee with 16, Morgan Lenners with 14, Amanda Andrews with 12 and Allison Evers with 7.
The Freeman Falcons face Palmyra at 6 and Southern at 7 in the Southern Triangular in Wymore on Thursday, September 29th.
