The food from our drive has officially been delivered to multiple donation sites! I want everyone to truly understand the incredible impact our community is making….At the final drop-off, the staff member was nearly in tears—she kept saying how worried she’d been about families facing the upcoming holiday breaks, and how this donation felt like a huge answered prayer. She shared that they served over 60 families just this week. She also told me she has never had an overabundance at the pantry before, and that this was a wonderful problem to have! A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Freeman Food and Pantry Drive! Together, we collected over 2,000 items that will be donated to food pantries in our surrounding communities. Just imagine how many people will be helped—it's truly incredible! A special shout-out to our 4th graders, this year’s top collectors with an amazing 423 items and an honorable mention to our 2nd and 5th graders for making it a close race. We love seeing Freeman’s 7–12 grade Student Council out and about serving others and spreading joy! 💙✨ Today they spent the afternoon at Goldcrest Nursing Home helping lead a fun “camping” activity. From guiding residents through a glowing firefly craft, to sharing spooky stories around our pretend campfire, to making (and enjoying!) delicious s’mores — it was a day full of, creativity and connection!
