🚌🏫10th graders attended a field trip today. It was a “Connecting the Dots Simulation” through the 4-H Extension Office. Students went through 4 rounds of simulations working on choosing careers, attending a 2 or 4 year college or joined the military, then they had to complete their resumes and secure employment. Based on that, students were then given the opportunity to go back for more schooling,update resumes, & apply for new jobs. It gave students real life situations that were obstacles for some. #WeAreFreeman🐦

We truly believe there is a book out there for everyone—you just have to find what you like! 📚 Books can take you to different worlds and different times, and that in itself is pretty magical. Dempsey here has recently discovered a love for all things pioneer life, so Mrs. Sales came up with a special job for him. Our historical fiction section needed some decor, and he delivered! Check out this awesome log cabin and cow yard he made for the library. I think Little House on the Prairie would be proud… and we sure are too! 🤠📚 #WeAreFreeman🐦

Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun and wore their silliest socks today for Fox in Socks Day! It was so fun seeing all the colorful, crazy socks walking the halls! 🧦 A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for the awesome Dr. Seuss–inspired Lorax jello treat for all students at lunch today. What a fun and thoughtful surprise to help us wrap up Read Across America Week! It was such a fun week, and we can’t wait for all the fun again next year! But just because the week is over doesn’t mean we stop reading—if anything, we hope it encourages everyone to read even more! 📚 We are so lucky to have such a supportive and creative staff who help make these moments special for our students! 💛 #WeAreFreeman🐦

Today Mrs. Schlake’s 8th Grade FCS had a table setting competition! Each group chose a Holiday, planned a menu, decorated a table, and prepared a food sample! Four guest judges joined us and provided the students with feedback! 🎄🐰🇺🇸 #WeAreFreeman🐦

It was a camo takeover at Freeman today! We saw camo everywhere you looked—thanks to everyone who joined in and showed their spirit for Camo Day! A big thank you as well to all the enthusiastic participants in the Nutty Bookkeepers Hidden Librarian Hunt. It was so much fun watching everyone searching the halls and working together to find them! Read Across America Week has been such a blast, and we’ve loved seeing everyone get involved. It was so much fun seeing students dressed as teachers — and even a few teachers dressed like students! I think we may have spotted some future Freeman teachers in the bunch. 😊 🙏🏻💙A big thank you as well to those who took the time to write thank you cards to staff, coworkers, and peers.
